Everyday heroes, just like you
Our hosts are the heroes of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Every year, they tirelessly donate their time and talents to help fight cancer.
Here are some of their stories.
My mum, Alison Ryan, was diagnosed with stage 4 Bowel Cancer. After 18 months on the 3 June 2014 I lost not only my mother but my best friend to the horrible disease.
Shirley Lincoln and the social club at Stanhope Gardens Gateway Village have been hosting their Biggest Morning Tea for 9 years running, last year raising $3,000 for Cancer Council.
When Natalie Pike lost her father to cancer 10 years ago, she wanted to find a way to give back and support others affected by the disease.
Diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer at age 32, Sherie Hagger encourages anyone who notices a change in their body to get checked immediately.
