Why this means so much to me

Often I am asked why I want to hold a biggest morning tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. Well, here is my response.
Like many people cancer has been visible in my personal life for many years. My maternal grandmother had aggressive breast cancer as did my cousin and brother. Family members on my husbands side have also been hit with various cancer diagnoses. In my friendship circle, I have had one dear friend struck by breast cancer and her husband with kidney cancer. Another with two types of brain cancer. Then closer to home my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
So, I am passionate about supporting the cancer council because, like many, cancer has impacted too many people I love. 
I am so privileged to work for Allianz who are supporting my goal to support the council in helping those impacted by cancer.
Now in our 5th year of holding a morning tea, I am once again seeking your help to raise these vital funds for people impacted by cancer.
