I was an absolute mess on the day of the event and a couple of days before, there is a few business I want to give A MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO:

for donating a pack of sandwhiches for the event and going above and beyond for me the day before and making 100 sandwhiches for the event when my food person cancelled last minute! I bloody appreciate it so much and it was a pleasure meeting you! 

💛 De Bruins Bakery Longwarry for supplying bread and rolls because of our last minute cancellations, if it wasn't for you guys we wouldn't have been able to supply our food on the day! 

💛 Country Style Meats Garfield for donating towards our meat raffle, and going above and beyond me for in the morning with getting my last minute food order in for the day! Unfortunately due to the weather we didn't need as much for the event but I passed on the meat for the venues 20th anniversary on the 6th of July and they couldn't haven't been more chuffed with the quality and product .. I'm so thankful for you guys and supporting your locals day in and day out! Thank you 💛 

💛 Garfield Fresh Harvest for the amazing support snd generously donating a fruit and veg hamper for the raffle... Not only that but making last minutes fruit cups for me for on the day! 

I can't thank you all enough knowing that no matter what suburb you are from, you still went above and beyond supporting locals near and far and making it possible on the day for the last couple of things to fit into place!

A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE TEAM @ RAVENLY for going above and beyond and helping raise funds for the BMT. 

Ravenly generously donated a $150 staple pack for the raffle 

And went above and beyond to help raise funds by making custom tees, keyrings, sticker and stubby holders special for the day with 50% of profits going to the Cancer Council. 

Not only all that but the endless support and the generous donation of a hostess top to help advertise them and so people knew who inwas on the day!

I would like to say A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO The Vietnam Veterans & Veterans MC Gippsland for not ONLY donating the venue for the event, supplying soft drinks, tea and coffee and cooking hot jam donuts and HELPING ME OUT ON THE DAY WITH COOKING &  helping raise funds for this amazing cause.... Not only did you guys support me but jumped on board when I had no helpers rock up & supported me through thick and thin through my meltdowns and breakdowns on the day!

the aim of the fund-raiser

The aim of the fund-raiser. 

1. Raise vital funds for the Cancer Council 
2. Host a family event, with heaps of cool stuff on the day 
3. Support network for locals who have lost someone, are going through it themselves, for families to connect, I created a FB, for individuals to reach out at anything! 
4. Support small businesss' eith govflation and getting there name out there fully advertised by me.
5. Create an event, THAT IS NO COST TO ME! (EVERYTHING DONATED & SPONSORED) 
ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL GO TO CANCER COUNCIL :) 

I registered as a first year host on the 28th march 2024. 

& what a roller-coaster it has been, & every day I receive vital messages and support messages saying how incredible this is and how supportive it is for the locals!

BECOMING A MORNING TEA HOST

After supporting the BUNYIP CFA with the good Friday appeal, I was on a mission to find a BMT in our area, after speaking with a few people, it wasn't run for a couple of years except in NNG, and the lady who hosted in garfield with a community event passed away! 

I admin a community group on Facebook for bunyip,  you'll see my name everywhere in support of local business' and locals.... 

One post.. really got me... it was from Garry Bodsworth... 
He lost his wife to cancer at the start of year.  It made me relise, there is no-support network..  every one relies on social media these days & after the worldwide pandemic it really took its toll on some people.... I  not only wanted a support network but also to support locals near and far and bring back the livelihood of communities... by helping raise funds that's affected, each and everyone of us, one way or another. 

So it began the planning for #bunyipbiggestmorningtea 
A community event hosted by yours truly.
