💛 Why I'm Hosting a Biggest Morning Tea 💛

Cancer is something that has touched many lives – and mine is no exception. I’ve known and cared about several people who have faced the Big C.
Some have sadly passed on, like my grandma who had colon cancer. Some, like my friend who had a brain tumour, have come out the other side strong and healthy. My auntie had to lose one of her breasts to breast cancer, but she is now living her best life. And a mentor of mine, who also had colon cancer, beat it and continues to live with purpose and passion, doing incredible work in the Environmental and OHS space.
I know I’m not alone in this. So many of us have been impacted by cancer – whether it’s someone we love, someone we work with, or our own personal journey. That’s why I’m hosting a Biggest Morning Tea – to raise funds, share stories, and show support for all those who’ve been affected.
☕️ Event Details
📅 Date: Tuesday 13 May, 10AM
📍 Location: The Bistro @ YVW Mitcham Office
🍽️ I’ll be providing some food, tea and coffee from the good ol’ kachunk-kachunk machine (you know the one 😄 If not, ask Andy Harrison), and I’d love for you to join in by bringing along a plate of food and a story to share – big or small – potluck style.
💛 Why Donate?
Your donations go directly to supporting Cancer Council’s vital work. That includes:
Funding world-class cancer research
Providing support services to those affected by cancer
Advocating for cancer prevention and early detection
Offering guidance and information for patients and their families
Every dollar makes a difference.
If you can, please chip in a few dollars (or more!) – and come along to share a cuppa, a bite, and a meaningful moment with others.
Together, we can make a difference. 💛
