Support my Biggest Morning Tea

This year we are holding a virtual morning tea to help Cancer Council raise much needed funds that go towards vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.

In 2021, an MRI discovered a mass in Isla's cerebellum. Isla immediately underwent 12 hours of brain surgery, during which time neurosurgeons were able to remove 80% of the tumour and classify the tumour as a grade 1 ganglioglioma. Isla is extremely fortunate that the 20% of tumour that remains is not growing and she now lives a completely normal life, playing elite level sports and heading to college in the USA in June on a D1 basketball scholarship.

Unfortunately so many children like Isla are not this lucky. We are in awe of the thousands of medical researchers around Australia who dedicate their lives to determining preventative measures and therapies for the many different types of cancer.
