My Journey

Hi everyone my name is Katie Elphick and I had Bowel Cancer in 2022/2023.

I am currently in recovery and looking to share my story to create awareness not only for cancer but bowel cancer too. I was only 33 when I was diagnosed and had a 14 month old son. I endured 30 rounds of radiation, 3 months of chemotherapy and 3 major surgeries.

If it were not for the support I have been given and still given from the Cancer Council my journey may have been a different one, but with a positive attitude and the immense support given from family, friends and other cancer patients I can happily say I am still here and making the most of every day with my now 2 year old son and husband ❤️
