I'd love for you to join me in raising funds this year for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea event.
Earlier this year, I was faced with my own diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Despite the challenges, I've chosen to turn my experience into an opportunity to raise funds for the lifesaving research, and critical services provided by the Cancer Council, as well as raise awareness for thyroid disease. Through navigating my own cancer journey, I've come to realise the importance of early detection, support, and education surrounding cancer and thyroid disease.
That's why I've decided to host a morning tea with my friends on World Thyroid Day, May 25th, which coincidentally marks my 25th birthday. It’ll be a day of celebration, reflection, and advocacy! I will also be holding a second morning tea in the office, during International Thyroid Awareness Week.
Your generous donations are greatly appreciated, and will not only help fund cancer research, but will also help provide support services to those affected by cancer including travel, accommodation, mental health services and financial support. Funds will also be used to create important awareness campaigns which aid in the early detection and treatment of cancer.
