Why I fundraise to fight for a cancer free world
In the past 6 months we farewelled our Dad, Derrick Desplace, with prostrate cancer, our beautiful Sister was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, our gorgeous Aunty was diagnosed with cancer and starts her journey fighting cancer, our ever happy and smiling niece’s breast cancer journey was too much and she won her Angel wings on Friday. In the past 6 months there were many many more beautiful souls diagnosed with cancer or became too weary. Whilst our hearts ache for our loss and for those fighting a good fight we need to keep going and keep fighting for that cancer free world - an ambitious statement - but filled with determination for a future for the next generations. As many times as I feel weary at fundraising over the past 17 years I am nourished by the determination to stamp out this dreadful disease. So today as I host my 17th Cancer Council “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea” I salute my Dad, my Sister, my Aunty and my Niece and all those affected by cancer. Thank you all for your support and prayer for a successful day of fundraising today. ❤️💛🩶🖤💚🧡💜💖💙🤎Support my Biggest Morning Tea
